My giphy profile journey and one thing that bugs me

I started using my giphy profile a few months back to keep all my reaction GIFs in one place. I’ve got folders for shonen hype moments, sad ED scenes, and even some weird seinen panels that only a few people get. It’s pretty handy when I’m chatting with friends on Discord or even just replying to group chats—no more digging through my downloads folder.

But here’s my honest gripe: the discovery feels hollow. If I search for something niche, like a specific “madhouse animation loop”, the results are either too broad or just low-effort repeats. I’ve uploaded my own edits, but the algorithm doesn’t seem to push them unless they’re already viral. For a platform that’s all about visual expression, the curation side feels lacking.

Still, for quick access to my personal library, it’s fine. I mainly use it to spam friends and show off my taste in OP/ED loops.
